Notice 02 · The game

A space game about the business

Synarchy is a multiplayer trading and logistics game set in one persistent galaxy. You found a corporation, collect your charter from the Bureau of Charters and start with a single ship. Which contracts you take, what you carry and where your next ship goes are up to you.

Prices come from supply and demand across 250 star systems, and every trade nudges them. Floods, raids, strikes and shortages arrive on the news wire as they happen. Some of them move markets and some don't. Working out which, before everyone else does, is most of the game.

It all runs in real time on one server. The corporation undercutting you might be another player, and it doesn't stop trading because you went to bed.

  • Haul

Take freight jobs off the station board. Cargo is bonded and deadlines are real, so walking away from a contract costs you.

  • Trade

More than 160 goods, from magnetite ore to luxuries, each with its own price at every port. Buy where it's plentiful, sell where it's short, and watch the margin close as others notice.

  • Expand

Add ships, licenses and warehouses. The ledger tracks every credit in and out, taxes included.

  • React

Events across the galaxy come over the news wire as they happen. Subscribe to official feeds or the gossip channels, and decide what to believe.

  • Fly

Run it all from the cockpit. Plot a course on the galaxy map, jump between systems and set down at starports on moons under gas giants and molten worlds.

  • One galaxy

One shared universe, one clock, always on. There are no save files, so there's no reloading a bad trade either.

Notice 04 · The setting

An old government that still works, slowly

Faster-than-light travel arrived with Quantum Isotopes, rare atoms that made compact fusion and wormhole drives possible. The Synarchy grew up around them: a coalition of species that prospered for centuries, then slowed under its own bureaucracy. Rather than collapse, it let five difficult regions go their own way as the Confederations.

Past them lies ungoverned space, rich in resources, short on spaceports and not especially safe.

  • Synarchy

The core. Regulated, stable and in no hurry. Navigation fees, license stamps and a form for everything.

  • Confederations

Five regions that left the Synarchy peacefully, each running things its own way.

  • Ungoverned

No charter, no fleet, no guarantees. The richest deposits are out here, and so is everyone else who knows it.

What's coming

Synarchy is heading for Early Access on Steam in 2027. Trading, hauling, the news wire and flying between starports are playable in the current build. These are next:

  1. Five Confederations

The breakaway regions open up, each with its own politics and markets.

  2. Staff and automation

Hire people to run routes and keep the company working while you're away.

  3. Manufacturing and research

Make goods, design ships, and gamble on research. Some technology never pans out.

  4. Piracy in ungoverned space

Real risk on the outer rim for those who want it. Fights won't need both sides online at the same moment.

  5. Collectible auctions

Rare pieces that only the galaxy's top corporations will own.

  6. Galaxy projects

Large shared efforts that decide where the galaxy goes next. Prop up the Synarchy, or back a Confederation.
